September Favourites 2014

It's almost October *excited squeal*. I'm going to do a Halloween themed month, because I'm way to excited and I swear I love Halloween more than Christmas.

As it is nearly the end of September, I thought I'd stick in my September favourites. So, grab a biscuit and enjoy! :-)

[caption id="attachment_2216" align="aligncenter" width="256"]group24 September Line Up[/caption]

VO5 Ultimate Hold Hairspray - I love this. It has amazing staying power, brushes out easily and doesn't leave greasy chunks. Oh, and it's good for spider killing, in case you haven't previously read my Vo5 post. This is a new can, as my old one ran out but lasted me a good few months!

TRESemme Refresh and Revive Dry Shampoo - This stuff smells quite nice and doesn't leave weird grey/white bits even after you've rubbed it in. Win win win.

Tony&Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum - Sadly I have only recently discovered this. I got this in a Glossybox waaaay too long ago (probably almost a year ago), hence the cool limited edition design by the lovely LuLu. It leaves hair so soft and shiny and it smells lovely. I can safely say if conditioner doesn't tame hair frizz, this baby will.

[caption id="attachment_2218" align="aligncenter" width="227"]group1 They look like best friends posing for a selfie[/caption]

Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tatoo in Pink Gold - I have this in a couple of colours, but my current favourite is their Pink Gold/Rose Gold colour. It was the first shade I used and I love it so much. It is so pigmented and blends really well with other eyeshadows, which is a huge bonus. The best thing is that you don't need to use several shades to blend, the light catches it and makes it look like you've spent hours blending to create a flawless look. All you need is a pot of this, and a finger!

[caption id="attachment_2217" align="aligncenter" width="300"]MaybCtt Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tatoo - Shade 65 'Pink Gold'[/caption]

Smooch Social Butterfly Eyeshadow Duo - I did a post about this not so long ago. You can read that here. It is supposed to be a NARS dupe and it does not disappoint. The shades are gorgeous and really pigmented. I prefer the darker purple shade, and if I blend it with the Rose Gold Colour Tatoo it looks really lovely! It even comes with mirror, which is a lovely thought!

[caption id="attachment_2219" align="aligncenter" width="300"]group23 Pretty things[/caption]

Collection Felt Tip Eyeliner in Black - What can I say, this will probably be in my drugstore favourite pile for a very long time. It's a really dramatic shade of black, lasts for months and is great for the cat eye look. It isn't waterproof but if you do get it wet, so long as you don't rub your eyes it's not tooooo bad.

Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil in Black Brown - This is a lovely little eyebrow pencil! It's the only one I've found that matches my brows perfectly. The brush on the end of the lid is okay, but I prefer to use my own. It lasts all day and I love the coverage.

I appologise if any of these have been mentioned in favorites before, but they're obviously just that good! (I think the Collection Liner and Vo5 may be...)

What have you been loving this month? :-)

20 Things Tag

The lovely Sophie at Sophie Deaks has challenged anyone who read her post '20 things about me' to do the same, and write 20 things about themselves. So, here we go! :-)

1. I am the oldest of four children, my poor mother.

2. I hate ice cream, the Mr Whippy stuff makes me want to throw up. When kids mush jelly and ice cream together it's worse than fingernails down a chalkboard.

icecream2copy-1

3. I used to have a reoccurring nightmare about the Genie from Disney's Aladin. He would drop me in a pit and the monkey would attack me.

4. I could eat pasta until it comes out of my ears.

5. Even on a cold day, I prefer cold drinks over hot ones!

6. Noodles and cheese. That is all.

7. I am a serial duvet hogger.

8. I used to write stories in little note books and hide them so people couldn't read them.

9. Me and my Dad had a secret code, because he knew this girl I was 'friends' with used to bully me and she used to try and make me go to her house after school. Hand him my book bag first for 'yes I'll go', lunch box first for 'no, rescue me!'.

10. I like summer fruits (strawberries, raspberries etc.) and I really don't like citrus ones, lemon and lime? Ew. No.

[caption id="attachment_2196" align="aligncenter" width="186"]d392c02e9fcb4db836ae8a9f095d99ee This meme describes my hatred for lemons and my feelings towards mess perfectly. Thank you Earl of Lemongrab.[/caption]

11. I named my phone Wallace, the car Zaph and my tablet Tabitha.

12. I've always wanted to be able to handstand and cartwheel. Never managed it though...

13. If I didn't hide away in my room with my music on writing at least once a week, I would probably go insane.

14. I'm bordering on OCD with cleaning and tidying. I think I annoy people tidying up after them sometimes.

15. I am a morning person. Which is great, unless someone wakes me up at 3 or 4am and then I can't get back to sleep. :-(

16. I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter, but Pottermore put me in Ravenclaw, that's a start right?

17. The first concert I ever went to see live was Emilie Autumn's Asylum Tour. I used to love Captain Maggot, and she crowd surfed! She high fived me and let me touch her bum (that sounds SO weird... but it wasn't).

[caption id="attachment_2199" align="aligncenter" width="200"]the_captain_by_schrodingerr-d39rnig Captain Maggot - Schrodinger Deviant Art.[/caption]

18. My shoe size ranges from a UK 3 or 4 in flat shoes and a 5 for boots.

19. I once ate sequins to stop this mean girl from stealing them out of my tray. The were special ones, from Christmas I think. I realise now how gross and dangerous that is. I was five though...

20. I have yet to break a bone.

Keeping in style with Sophie's, anyone who reads this far, I challenge you to post 20 questions about you!

:-)

Wednesday Warriors.

It's Wednesday, the day that everything goes to pot! Think Monday was bad? Wednesday is here to make Monday look like a Friday. Yeah. Take that Monday, you've got competition love.

1. Spiders. Everywhere. Two on the ceiling. One on the bed. One even launched itself at me from the wash basket. Seriously, I do not need this after a day at placement.

2. I sprayed hair spray on my face by accident yesterday morning. I was in a rush and just kind of rubbed it off, as you do. Now that side of my cheek/ forehead is covered in spots. There's too many to count on one hand. Yay.

3. I have been pathetically fighting off a cold for about a week now. Today shit decided to get serious. I have a sore throat and a warm feeling nose... and my eyes hurt.

4. I found my favorite mascaras in an old bag, I thought I'd lost them when we moved. They're dried up and now pretty useless!

5. I managed to slash the inside creases of my fingers when shredding some things at placement. Urgh. Ew. Ow. Is all I have to say.

wednesday warrior

But all is not lost!

1. I had an amazing day at placement, the children are just amazing and their teacher is so on the ball and engaging, it was really heartwarming to observe their lesson. I feel really proud of them. <3

2. I learnt something new. When I was in primary school I was hopeless at maths, and there is now something out there that schools are putting in place to help kids that just don't get the whole numbers thing. It works, they've got 4 year olds doing basic algebra.

3. My tortoise was awake when I got home today (usually he's dead to the world by 5pm) so I had half an hours play with him, gave him a bath and laid with him on my chest humming nursery rhymes whilst he dried off. It sounds really silly, but he had his head down and he fell asleep and I could have cried he was just so cute and amazing.

4. It's my day off tomorrow. (Although I do have a cold so I will probably be nursing that, but at least I don't have to be up at 5:30!)

5. I am SO CLOSE to 150 followers. Although if I count the Bloglovin' beans, I am at 156. This makes me happy. Thank you for listening to my rambles.

I hope your Wednesdays are going better than mine! Wednesday Warriors Unite! *Fist pump*

Glossybox Blues...

I'm currently stuck. Do I take the plunge and go invest in another beauty related box, or stand my ground and keep on truckin' with Glossybox?

I really don't want more than one a month, the cost adds up etc.

However, Glossybox has just stopped 'wowing' me and I find myself being drawn to other boxes because people are waving around amazing looking products and I'm sat here with sachets (man I hate sachets) of face mask, some weird acid peel and a tiny sample of nail varnish.

Plus, to make matters more frustrating, I keep getting things that would be £50-80 if they were full sized, in sachet form. (goddamn it sachets...) and it's really not enough to make a good impression, I can't tell if x is going to work just by using it once. So I'm really not going to go and spend £50 on your full size product.

Don't get me wrong, occasionally I get some little gem that is full sized, of the sample size is big enough to get more than one usage. But I feel like they're trying to shove me into a high end product corner, with brands I've never heard of but are apparently 'quirky'. I miss the old drugstore product priced days, and reading the info card and thinking 'OH! L'oreal. I've heard of those bad boys.'

Now I'm just sat here like OH.

What beauty boxes do you guys have? Are they worth it? Anyone else having Glossybox second thoughts right now?

Finding a Coat...

I've been debating what type of coat to get this year. I do usually try and make a coat last two years, but this year I need a new one! I've been searching the web for coat ideas and I've come to the conclusion there are some freaky and awful coats out there this year. They make me cringe. I can't even say I like them on the catwalk examples. Urgh. Why fashion, why!?!?

I want a fitted coat, having bigger boobs means anything loose makes me look like a round textured marshmallow. The wrong coat can make my UK 10 frame look like it's a UK 20, thanks to my boobs. :-(

I have been sat drooling over these for the past day or so but I think I need to find a Miss Selfridge and try them on.

Selfridge collage

They're all between £60-£80. Which my brain is screaming 'NO TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A COAT!?' but I'm really struggling to find anything cheaper that I like. My usual haunts, Topshop, River Island, Asos, New Look... they seem to all be big on these floaty huge coats that I'm sure look great when you're 6ft, long legged and willowy, but not when you're 5ft, short legged and have bigger boobs than necessary. *coat rant over*.

Where have you got your coats from this year? Have any of you found some really nice ones that aren't stupid amounts of money? I would love to know! :-) x

Social Butterfly - NARS Dupe!

So yesterday may have resulted in coming home with a Yankee candle and this cool Halloween cat, a stand and some spider web candle accessory thing I definitely did NOT need. The nights are getting colder, and by the time I get home the sky is already looking a little dark! I'm so excited for Halloween and Christmas it's unreal.

Anydoodle, here is the Smooch palette I picked up the other day! It a lovely autumnal/winter velvet purple. I am in LOVE. Just like the Naked 3 dupe I managed to grab, this is a NARS dupe. Yup. And it is perfection.

[caption id="attachment_2168" align="aligncenter" width="300"]10670282_10152694086750330_8068517675561892749_n Thar she blows! Such dainty packaging :-)[/caption]

It came with a mirror, which was nice of them. My MUA palettes never had a mirror and it was a huge pain, I know it's not really a problem if you have a desk or make-up mirror but I don't right now, and I'm fed up of using my pocket mirror, or having to climb things to see the one in the bathroom. The joys of being a short arse... not being able to see in mirrors, or over the steering wheel, or even over the reception desk at work. Yay! *cries silently.*

[caption id="attachment_2169" align="aligncenter" width="300"]10533387_10152694087335330_4652351407070547010_n (1) My Palette: Looking a little NARS like... hmm...[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2170" align="aligncenter" width="300"]s1418813-main-Lhero A wild NARS Duo stock photo appears. Looking a little familiar yet? :-)[/caption]

So, yeah, they look VERY similar in shape, and design. The colours aren't quite there though, but then I found that with the Naked 3 dupe and I'm not complaining. :-) The packaging feels brilliant. It came in a little flimsy box, but the actual palette feels chunky, sturdy and really good quality! Very very happy with this little beauty. :-)

[caption id="attachment_2167" align="aligncenter" width="237"]1781927_10152694087675330_6588181416937001806_n Look at the purpleness.[/caption]

It is retailed at £5.99 but I picked it up at the outlet store for £2.99. So it is about £20 cheaper than it's NARS friend. I have a feeling I will be wearing this a lot over the next few months!

Any of you had a good NARS dupe? :-) x

Urban Decay Twin!? Warpaint - In the Nude Palette

I am aware the title of this post is quite, er, suggestive? I swear it's not.

I picked up this interesting looking palette yesterday at the Beauty Outlet at Castlegate in Leeds. I say interesting, because I don't know if you've noticed, but it looks suspiciously similar to the Urban decay Naked 3 palette. *wink wink* ;-)

[caption id="attachment_2157" align="aligncenter" width="300"]PicMonkey Collage2 The Warpaint palette even has the wiggly lines (although thanks to my fantastic photography skills you can't see them well. 10 points Alice. *facepalm*)[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2158" align="aligncenter" width="300"]PicMonkey Collage3 *whispers* The bottom one is mine, in case the photography skills didn't give it away...[/caption]

Okay, I'm lying, I didn't pick it up because it looks like Naked 3. I picked it up because there is a shade of eye shadow in it called ALICE. And I get REALLY excited if I see things with my name on them. *sigh* it's a problem I have, luckily it may have paid off this time. I am really looking forward to trying all of these out, although i am very reluctant to hope that they are any where near as good as the UD Naked palette claims.

Now I have never tried the UD naked palettes, and I wont be doing so, or at least not unless I win the lottery or inherit loads of money. I can't justify the price, I know there are loads of you who can't either because school or college whatever just doesn't leave room for rolling around in money. Oddly enough, neither does having a job. So we are on this crazy mission to find the UD dupes together guys and gals.

10626819_10152694086145330_6551251507589608654_n

We have from left to right in the Warpaint tin, (drum roll please), Latte, Angel, Venice, Marilyn, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed, ALICE, Bad Manners, Coffee Cup, Mud Slide, Tokyo, Fashionista. I feel like I should be gasping for breath after reading all of those. What I found slightly annoying is the sticker on the back of the Warpaint tin, the colours are in the opposite order on the sticker, which is easily rectified if you're not half asleep. (If you flipped the palette the Latte sticker would be where the Fashionista shade is). The colours also look different on the sticker too, I kind of feel like the colours on the sticker are pretty close to the UD Naked 3 shades, but in reality the shades inside are paler.

[caption id="attachment_2160" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Latte, Angel, Venice, Marilyn, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed, Alice, Bad Manners, Coffee Cup, Mud Slide, Tokyo, Fashionista. Latte, Angel, Venice, Marilyn, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed, Alice, Bad Manners, Coffee Cup, Mud Slide, Tokyo, Fashionista.[/caption]

I've used a few Warpaint bits and pieces now, and I'm sort of in a love hate relationship with them. Their mascara is not bad, but their concealer was just ARGH NO. So this could go either way.

Have any of you tried the Warpaint In the Nude palette or any other UD Dupes and look alikes? Were they worth it? :-)

What a Weekend...

So today I got a bit over excited, lots of good things have just smashed together and I'm feeling all bubbly and happy. Considering the horrid weekend I have just had, well I had to share my bounciness. :-)

*The awful bit* On Saturday we went to the Royal Armories in Leeds, half way through the visit my mum called to say my Aunt had had a massive brain hemorrhage and well, it wasn't great. My other half drove us all the way to Mansfield to the hospital and we went to say our goodbyes. They didn't brain scan, drip feed... there was no point apparently, it was just that catastrophic.

By this point I'm numb, dreading every text, phone call, waiting for my mum to say she's passed away. But on Monday I received news that my Aunt had woken up, was sat and talking. (We are all stunned...)What they thought to be a massive brain hemorrhage was actually Epilepsy. I know Epilepsy itself is nothing to sing and dance about someone having, but as we were preparing for the worst, it is, for me, an amazing relief.

Today we decided to go and pay a visit to the Armories again, to finish the day out we started on Saturday. I was so paranoid all the way round that something bad was going to happen...

Then we went to Castleford; initially I was in search of a coat as my coat from last year is well... too tight around my boobs. (I have this annoying body habit of gaining weight and it going around my boobs, then no matter how much weight I lose, it never shifts from there. Ever.)

Sounds great, it's not. There will come a point one day where I'm more boob than person, I swear.

Anyway, although I didn't find a coat I did find a lovely dress and a butterfly top (with a collar!), I will post them tomorrow as I can't get any decent lighting at the moment. But I am really excited because I thought I was never ever going to be able to wear a top with a collar as often my boobs make it impossible to wear these lovely little tops with high necklines, collars etc. I'm like a cross between Dolly Parton and Bernadette.

*fist pump* feeling the collar love right now.

I also managed to grab some more Warpaint make-up from Beautyoutlet. The more I see of this stuff, the more I love it. I picked up a pallet that looks suspiciously like the Urban Decay Naked pallet, it also has a suspiciously similar name. But more on those soon, I want to try them out before I tell you all about them. I hope they're as awesome as they look. I've also been on LUSH and bookmarked some lovely things to buy when I get paid next week.

And then my lovely other half (or more like other two thirds as he's a foot taller!) bought us Dominoes pizza, and we ate it by the Foreshore. It was lovely and despite the water near the Humber Bridge being a little dingy it was still really nice. (Feeling very soppy right now).

meme-happy_cry1-470x400

So I'm going to sit here, play Clash of Clans and sip my tea. Marveling at how life likes to throw you up and down, like a tennis ball.

Not today, Monday.

You know, in times of a crisis, when little things around you start to really REALLY bug you. Silly things that would take minutes, even seconds to do but you just can't.

Well today is one of those days! I have a load of brushes that need washing. I read a blog post yesterday and was reminded that mine have been patiently waiting for a wash for some time. I look at them, and I just can't face it, even though I know it will take me 10 minutes tops.

[caption id="attachment_2148" align="aligncenter" width="277"]I don't actually keep my make up brushes in a mug, but the caption pretty much says everything about today. I don't actually keep my make up brushes in a mug, but the caption pretty much says everything about today.[/caption]

I made my bed, but somehow I feel that I should wash and change the sheets because it's sunny out and they always smell and feel better after being line dried rather than draped over stair banisters. Just. Can't. Face. It.

I also have a ton of washing to do, work washing and 'oh my days I'm running out of socks' washing. But again, I just can't be bothered.

*sigh* I suppose I should just get a grip and wash the damn make-up brushes. They really do need doing... And it really wont take me a minute to load the washing machine...

Happy Monday guys! Hopefully you're not feeling the Monday blues. Huge internet *hugs* if you are. <3

Rose Rush - Calvin Klein

This cute little lipstick isn't great, I wont lie. The sticker said it retailed for £15.99 and I would have been pretty annoyed if I'd have paid that price, but as I nabbed it for under £3 I'll just blog rant instead.

A few weeks ago, me and my sister decided to trail after my parents who were on a school shoe mission. We ended up at a designer outlet where we bought lots of 'damaged' Cadbury chocolate and I somehow I managed to find a Calvin Klein lipstick for £2.99.

Still not entirely sure how that happened, but it did.

10592821_10152625556755330_7313556423932538253_n

The Good Stuff:

It smells quite floral, which is nice and the colour is a nice punchy pink with a hint of shimmer. It makes a nice autumnal colour, hurrah!

It lasted quite a while too, which is always good!

10665667_10152687930330330_2975767567778135773_n

The Not-So-Good Stuff:

The packaging has no indication of shade, it just has the name, so you have to pop the top off in order to see the colour.

Actually getting the lipstick out is a hassle, it feels like it's stuck or broken, getting it back down again is even worse the plastic is that stiff. I'm really struggling and I fear one day it's going to get stuck. I have never had this issue with a lipstick before.

The consistency means it moves! So you end up with bits of lipstick everywhere, it starts off just on the side of the tube, obviously rubbing off when you twist it, but then you end up with it on your fingers, on the lid... aaaall the places. I tried keeping it in the fridge to see if that helped and it did a little, but I really shouldn't have to keep lipstick in a fridge.

It's very drying. Shortly after applying and my lips start to feel really dry, I can't wear it for more than a day. It also doesn't look good if you have dry lips, you can really tell. Not sure if it's the shade that makes dry lips more noticeable, but either way be warned!

So basically, I'm glad I didn't pay the full price for it. If it was just the packaging that was bugging me I'd probably be quite happy to buy another CK lipstick again. But the dryness and consistency is really letting it down, especially when I have drug store lipsticks that perform better.

Sorry Mr Klein, it's a 1/5 for this... although for a rrp of £15, I don't even know why I'm sorry. I'm not.

Anyone ever had a CK lipstick before? Did you like them? :-)

Hair FOTD and Wild Ombre update.

Ahoy there! I even did a pirate wave, before realising you guys can't see that. That's what you get for narrating your blog in your head before you type. I also think I've caught a disease from some of the kids at the school I'm working in. Definitely not feeling 100%, maybe a zombie greeting would have been more appropriate. Brrraaaaains.

I suppose this is a follow up post to the L'oreal Paris Wild Ombre Hair post I did over a week ago. You can read that here if you like. :-)

The sun hit my hair today and I realised just how well the dye had worked! I am experiencing really dry ends, but I guess that is to be expected considering how mean I was to my hair. Sorry hair, I do love you really.

Ombre Hair

You can see the three different tones my hair has ended up having! I love it! :0)

Anyway, chin up guys, it's Friday tomorrow!!!

Chocolate Face Masks - Montagne & Jeunesse

My first experience of face masks was a pack of 10 Montagne & Jeunesse masks from Amazon. I wanted something cheap and cheerful as I wasn't sure if I was ever going to be the kind of person that sits watching tv with gloop all over her face. Apparently I am that kind of person... sometimes I even do ironing with gloop on my face.

I should probably rephrase that but I really can't be bothered.

It was by chance that I found their chocolate masks. I was in the line at the Co Op, buying mints for the long car journey home. (Apparently, mints cure travel sickness, well no apparently about it, they do, but that's another story). They were sat chilling out in the 'everything £1' baskets they seem to have every now and then, looking all forlorn crying 'take me TAKE ME'. £1 for 5!? It would have been rude not to.

[caption id="attachment_2125" align="aligncenter" width="300"]So much love for these. So much love for these.[/caption]

In the box I bought I had 2 x Chocolate Masks, 2 x White Chocolate and 1 x Hot Chocolate (which has a picture of an orange on so I presume it's chocolate orange!). I have yet to try the Hot Chocolate mask, but if it's anything like the other two, I'm sure I'll love it as well. <3

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="400"] They smell that good.[/caption]

They don't disappoint. Not only are they good value, they don't dry out my skin and smell gorgeous. The smell is a mix between chocolate mousse and fudge (I had to edit this twice before I realised I'd put mouse instead of mousse). You can get two applications out of each sachet, they say to use the whole thing but you really don't need to. I've tried and you stand there wondering where else to cover as there is just so much; eyelids? Ears? Neck? Arms!? What the heck am I supposed to do with a whole packet!?

[caption id="attachment_2124" align="aligncenter" width="260"]74e4d211821771337f7beecf3ffd4641 "Looks like you're next Barry..." "Good lord, I hope she doesn't smear me on her eyelids..."[/caption]

Oh, don't cover your eyelids, when it dries they get stuck and you end up looking like you're trying to do a Jim Carrey impression, it's so funny, but just feels weird and kind of gross too. I wouldn't cover your ears either... not that I've tried that ever...*innocent whistling*.

I did consider taking a photo of my face in one of the masks, but I don't think I'm ready for that kind of internet exposure just yet! Hats out to those of you who do though!

Have any of you tried these beauties!? :-)

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

sisterhood1

Hola! *tilts sombrero* ... just kidding, I don't even own a sombrero. :'(

I have been nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers award by the lovely Eleanor over at Blush and Bluebells! She is linked so take a gander! I love her blog and I'm sure you guys will too. Thank you Eleanor!!! :-D

Ze rules are as follows:

The Rules

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site.

2. Put the award logo on your blog.

3. Answer the ten questions they have set you.

4. Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer.

5. Nominate ten people

1. What is your favourite foundation?

At the moment I'm using the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation, shade ivory to be precise. I have to admit this is my favourite drug store foundation find to date, although I have read a few reviews and may branch out a little when this bottle runs out.

2. What’s your favourite face mask, if you use them?

I like the LUSH ones, but I know they can be a bit on the expensive side and they don't keep for long. I admit that they do wonders for my skin in a way no packet mask has ever done before but recently I just can't be bothered with the LUSH hassle as there isn't one close by. But failing that my favourite drug store masks are the chocolate range by Montagne Jeunesse. I found a pack of 5 masks for £1 in the Co Op the other week and they are great value for money. You can also get two treatments out of one packet as well. Bargain! Amazon do the Food Feast versions quite cheap too :-)

3. What are some makeup products you have and like but don’t use very often?

Usually certain shades of lipstick that I either can't get away with at work, or shades that only have a select few outfits that they go with. I also like the Collection mosaic bronzer, but find that it can be quite glittery. Oh! And the MUA Starry Night pallet, I love the colours but sometimes find that they're a bit too much for everyday wear.

4. What is your favourite lipstick/lipgloss?

The Kate Moss lipsticks from Rimmel London <3

5. How long do you spend, on average, doing your makeup everyday?

Er, it I'm off to work about 10 minutes tops, if I have time and nowhere really to go I can take ages. I don't even time myself haha. On a night out I usually give myself a good 30 minutes.

6. What is your favourite palette?

MUA Heaven and Earth. I have so much love for the MUA pallets.

7. Name the hair care products you couldn’t live without.

TRESemme. They've always pulled through when other shampoos and conditioners have failed.

8. What makeup products have you used that were raved about, and you found to be just as good as everyone said?

The Bourjois bronzer (the Delice de Poudre one the smells like chocolate). I have it in shade 52... not really sure what the difference is between shade 52 and shade 51, I did sit and stare at them in Superdrug for ages trying to decide which was best. Luckily 52 suits my skin perfectly. *fist pump*

9. What is your favourite mascara and why?

I have yet to find what I would class as my perfect mascara, still on the long road of mascara discovery. I basically buy what looks nice, what's on offer and what's waterproof! At the moment the GOSH Waterproof Volume Mascara is what I'm currently loving :-)

10. What brand does the best nail polish in your opinion?

My mum used to use Revlon at lot, so they were my first proper nail polishes. (Well not mine, I would borrow them!) So I have a soft spot for them. They do some lovely rich colours and I can get about 4 days out of them before my nails chip. I also like Avon nail polishes, they're pretty cheap and they do loads of colours. The bottles are pretty big too. Providing you use topcoat etc. Avon polishes last for a good few days without chipping.
